'Spycatcher: The Candid Autobiography of a Senior Intelligence Officer', Peter Wright, New York, Viking, 1987

Peter Wright's book was a major challenge to Britain's secrecy laws. The book was banned in Britain, and in 1985 the British government took Wright and his publishers to court in Australia, where Peter Wright had taken up residence, to prevent publication. It was the cross-examination of British Cabinet Secretary Sir Robert Armstrong, which elicited the infamous admission that Armstrong had been 'econonical with the truth'.
